About Kieran Bresnahan

Born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Spokane, Washington, I first became interested in photography when I found my parent’s box full of childhood photographs at 11 years old.

Years later, during my senior year of high school in 2019, I bought my first camera. Immediately, I fell in love with taking candid photos of my friends, family, and local street life.

In the spring and summer of 2020, I found my love for documentary and street photography by exploring the streets of Spokane every evening and documenting the people.

Currently, I attend Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington pursuing a degree in visual journalism. I feel extremely lucky to pursue photography and to keep sharing my perspective through a visual medium. I believe visual storytelling is instrumental in communicating people’s experiences and connecting across cultures.

In my free time, you can find me rock climbing, making coffee, or hanging out with friends.
